Skull Base Neuroanatomy Open Day Feb 27, 2025
Come and say hello.
Weekly Roundup
Every week, we gather with our skull base warriors for our sacred ritual: reviewing cases and dissections. It's part brain workout, part group therapy—where ideas fly, skull base trivia gets competitive, and someone inevitably says, “Well… in my experience…” (cue dramatic pause).
It’s the perfect time for brainstorming, sharing pearls of wisdom, venting surgical frustrations, and, of course, debating whether that was really a cranial nerve or just wishful thinking.
And when the anatomy gets too real or the cases too wild, we retreat to our sanctuary—Crab Fridays. Because nothing heals the soul (or egos) like good seafood, questionable jokes, and the collective therapy of post-call camaraderie.
Skull base may be tough, but our Fridays? Legendary.
Fundraising Challenge: Support Our Skull Base Warriors
Our international visitors are here with a purpose: to expand access to skull base neurosurgery and make complex knowledge understandable and applicable—even in regions where neurosurgery is just beginning to take root.
They’ve overcome significant hurdles to be here—geographic, financial, and logistical—to exchange ideas, gain experience, and bring these skills back to their communities.
If you believe in our vision of making skull base neurosurgery efficient, fast, and zero-risk worldwide, don’t miss the chance to support these dedicated professionals.
The world needs more hands, hearts, and minds like theirs. Let’s help them carry this mission forward.
April 23 – 2nd Yaşargil Microneurosurgery Academy Congress
We’re thrilled to announce that the RMP Skull Base team has been invited to participate in the 2nd Yaşargil Microneurosurgery Academy Congress, held in collaboration with Harvard Medical School.
We’ll be presenting our work on the Classification of Foramen Magnum Meningiomas, a framework we’ve developed under the guidance of the legendary Professor Samy Youssef. This classification aims to enhance surgical planning and improve outcomes in one of the most challenging regions of skull base surgery.
A special thank you to Professor Ossama Al-Mefty for the kind invitation and for continuing to inspire generations of skull base surgeons around the world.
Stay tuned—more updates coming from Boston soon.
